In Memoriam
Jennifer Wallberg, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology, Owner
Dr. Jennifer Wallberg had over 18 years of experience helping people with hearing loss. She earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College in West Hartford, CT, in elementary education. She went on to further her education and received her master’s degree in audiology in 1995 from Southern Connecticut State University.
She held a doctoral degree in audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, a division of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Wallberg was licensed to practice audiology in Connecticut. She is also was a founding member of the Connecticut Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Wallberg began her career at The Hearing Center, LLC in November 1995 and purchased Comprehensive Hearing, LLC from Dr. Judith Shea in July 2015. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, Bill, and their two daughters, Caroline and Emily. She was most recently the treasurer of the Connecticut Academy of Audiology. She was also actively involved in her church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and served as treasurer of the Altar Guild.
Dr. Wallberg was a special part of our community and her compassion and service to the patients of The Hearing Center will be dearly missed.
Paige Reid Porrello, Au.D.

Dr. Paige Porrello has been practicing audiology for over 19 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She earned her master’s degree in audiology from Memphis State University in 1994. She holds a doctoral degree in audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, a division of the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. Dr. Porrello is licensed to practice audiology in Connecticut, and she is a founding member of the Connecticut Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Porrello started her career working in otolaryngology offices as a clinical audiologist, and she started her work at The Hearing Center in 2004. Dr. Porrello’s goal is to treat each patient as family and provide them with the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate amplification to help them hear as well as possible.
When not at The Hearing Center, Dr. Porrello enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen, and being a “hockey mom” to her son, Nicholas, and her daughter, Katie.
Joyce Gennette
Office Manager
Joyce Gennette has been with The Hearing Center, LLC as Office Manager since December 2012. She enjoys her contact with the many patients and feels that they are more family than just patients. An avid reader and beach person, Joyce can be found on her days off in the summer sitting on the beaches of Fairfield. She has a daughter and son-in-law and her ‘grandpuppy’, Murphy.
